SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Gabala. Nero(?). AD 54-68. Æ (21mm, 8.00 g, 12h). Dated CY 100 (AD 54/5). Laureate head right / Goddess seated left, holding poppy and scepter; P above sphinx to left, MN to right, KA in exergue. RPC 4455; BMC -; SNG Hunterian 3230. Fine, brown patina. Extremely rare - only 5 noted in RPC.

The peculiar portrait on this issue has led to some debate. Other attributions include Claudius and even Agrippina II, which can be dismissed as the figure is clearly laureate.
